SnipBits (“the App”) is designed to respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.
1. No Account. No Tracking. No Cloud.
SnipBits does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
The App has:
No accounts
No analytics
No tracking
No cloud connection
No server communication of any kind
Everything the App does happens locally on your device.
2. Local Processing Only
All video processing, transcription, keyword detection, and file creation happens directly on your Mac.
Your media files never leave your device unless you choose to share or export them.
SnipBits does not:
Upload your files
Upload your transcripts
Upload your metadata
Send anything over the internet
The App has no built-in ability to send any data externally.
3. Permissions & File Access
SnipBits only accesses the folders you explicitly choose during import.
The App does not scan or read any files outside of the locations you select.
4. Third-Party Tools
SnipBits uses the Whisper transcription model, which also runs entirely on-device.
No audio, text, or data is ever sent to any external service.
5. Your Responsibility
All outputs generated by SnipBits — including transcripts, selects, or exported files — belong to you.
You are solely responsible for:
How you use this content
Where you store it
How you share it
Compliance with any applicable laws, contracts, or privacy requirements related to your media
SnipBits assumes no responsibility for your use of the App or the content you process with it.
6. Children’s Privacy
SnipBits collects no data and stores no information.
The App contains no content unsuitable for children, but it is intended for professional editors and assumes users are over 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
Continued use of the App after any updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
